VOTE
Mixed Media, 2024
Red and Blue have not been this divided since the Civil War.
This artwork is a visualization of the word “VOTE”, constructed entirely from the red and blue sections of US postage stamps, meticulously cut and arranged. The stark contrast between the red and blue hues serves as a poignant reminder of the deep divisions within American society, evoking a sense of political polarization not seen since the Civil War era.
By repurposing symbols of national unity, the artwork compels viewers to reflect on the importance of civic participation and the power of their vote in bridging these divides.
