Personal Project, 2020
An open typeface based on my handwriting
This font was created purely for fun, based on my own printed handwriting. As with normal handwriting, not every letter is an exact replicate of itself. There are 3 sets of each letter, changing endlessly, to create the most authentic handwritten look. To demonstrate the variability, the letter sets are color coded, in this case, in red, green and blue.

Ligatures are Icons
In addition to typical ligature replacements, KaiSans includes an extensive set of icons, which automatically replace the typed keyword.

Using Glyphs
This project enabled me to extend my typography knowledge, including learning to use Glyphs, a leading font editing software. In addition, I explored the basics of programming fonts.
